Our admin hours are Mon/Tu/Th/Fri 8:30am-7:30pm, Wed till 4:00pm. If your appointment is outside of admin hours, if you are booking at the Timberline Village (Acute Injury) clinic, or if you are a new patient booking online, you must leave a credit card number on our secure no-contact payment system; you can set this up on your Jane patient portal when you book your appointment online. A receipt will be emailed to you once our admin staff completes your payment.

Nick grew up in Campbell River and is thrilled to return to his hometown to join the team at Active Living Physiotherapy. With a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from UBC (2023), and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from UVic (2019) Nick brings a fresh approach and is well-equipped to provide the highest quality care to our clients. You may recognize him as he joined us for a clinical placement during his time as a physiotherapy student.
Nick has previously worked as a Kinesiologist with ICBC, WorkSafe and athletic populations in Physiotherapy clinics and has had a variety of physiotherapy student placement opportunities. These experiences fueled his belief in a multifaceted and comprehensive approach to Physiotherapy including manual therapy, exercise, education, and self-empowerment. Nick understands the importance of establishing strong relationships with his clients to collaboratively determine the most effective approach for their physiotherapy journey. By combining hands-on techniques with evidence-based exercises, Nick helps patients regain their strength, mobility, and overall quality of life, so they can get back to their favourite activities, sports and recreation. In his leisure time, Nick is an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoying mountain biking, skiing, and hiking. These pursuits not only align with his personal interests but also provide him with firsthand experience in injury rehabilitation. Nick is eager to reconnect with his hometown and to explore new and exciting adventures on the north island.

Jon has been practicing physiotherapy since graduating from the UBC Masters of Physical Therapy program in 2012. Over the years, he has developed a keen interest in sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation (particularly ACL), running injuries with video gait analysis, strength and conditioning, and chronic pain management. Jon’s passion lies in helping people move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence in their physical abilities.
As a former collegiate athlete, Jon brings a practical understanding of the challenges and demands of staying active. He has coached CrossFit and worked as a rugby team therapist at club, university, provincial, and national levels, gaining valuable experience in helping athletes recover from injuries and perform at their best.
Beyond the clinic, Jon has served as a Clinical Educator for the UBC Physical Therapy program, mentoring future physiotherapists and staying engaged with advancements in the field. His post-graduate education includes training in manual therapy, Functional Dry Needling (IMS), running injury management, functional movement assessment, and pain science.
Jon’s approach is rooted in movement optimism and evidence-based care. He sees the body as inherently resilient and capable of remarkable change, focusing on active, exercise-based treatments to create lasting improvements. Naomi graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Prior to this, she completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Ottawa. Since then she obtained her Gunn IMS (dry needling) certification through the University of British Columbia. Over several years Naomi pursued extensive post graduate education in advanced orthopaedic manual therapy. In 2022 she achieved her Diploma of Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT), recognized as the highest manual therapy certification in Canada.
Naomi’s comprehensive treatment approach focuses on manual therapy, specific exercises, Gunn IMS, and educating her clients on their rehabilitation. She assesses the contributing factors to an injury so any underlying causes can be addressed and recurrent injury may be avoided. Naomi enjoys treating a variety of orthopaedic and sports-related injuries. She works with clients of all ages and athletic abilities, taking a client centered approach helping them understand their injuries so they can conquer those aches and pains, and get back to the activities they are passionate about.
Outside the clinic you’ll find her keeping active through alpine and nordic skiing, mountain biking, cycling, hiking, water sports and exploring the island.

Sonja began her educational pursuits studying Immunology and Infection at the University of Alberta. After completing her undergraduate degree (2013), she went on to get her Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta (2016).

Jonathan was born and raised in Miramichi, New Brunswick and moved to Campbell River with his family in his teenage years. He immediately fell in love with the area and the people, and considers himself lucky to have grown up in places with ample outdoor opportunities.
Jonathan is a graduate of Dalhousie University’s Masters of Physiotherapy program (2017) and the University of Victoria’s Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology program (2015). He previously worked in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia treating a variety of orthopaedic and neuropathic conditions before moving to Campbell River in 2021. Jonathan has also been a Teaching Assistant at the School of Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University and is a Clinical Preceptor for UBC Physiotherapy Students. Evan is a graduate of the University of British Columbia’s Masters in Physical Therapy Program (2019) and University of Victoria’s Kinesiology Program (2015). Evan grew up in Campbell River and is proud to be back serving his community. He has always had a love for sports and fitness including weight training, triathlon, golf, and basketball. While these sports have kept him active, they have not been without their own hurdles and injuries. It was through his own process of injury recovery that he discovered an interest in anatomy and rehabilitation. This led him to pursue education in Physiotherapy. As a Physiotherapist he uses a detailed assessment to find the source of the problem and applies the most appropriate treatment tools to create a solution.
